CASE: MAGALU AND CLIMAS

Brazilian group Magalu seeks to increasingly integrate issues such as ESG and Climate Change to its operation. One of the initiatives in this direction is the inventory of greenhouse gases (GHG). A document of complex completion, Magalu saw the challenge of producing it increase when 26 more companies joined the group between 2020 and 2021.

For this, the company adopted Climas, ESG management software developed by WayCarbon and, thus, could build the inventory with practicality, security and traceability. With Climas, the company now has not only a "photograph" of the previous year's emissions profile, but a continuity of emissions management throughout the year, with more transparency and organization. Additionally, Climas became an ally for the company to respond more efficiently to inquiries from investors and the market about its sustainability actions.
